He Wore Black, a tribute to Johnny Cash, is unlike other tribute shows you may have seen. This is not a Johnny Cash impersonation, but an honoring of the
legend we know as, Johnny Cash, and performed by local Castle Rock musician, David Chapa. Chapa is a natural storyteller, who will take you on a journey of Cash’s early and rough beginnings in Arkansas, to his days in Memphis and finally Nashville. You’ll learn what moved and inspired Cash to write some of his most famous songs.
To commemorate the debut of the show, He Wore Black, WS “Fluke” Holland, Johnny Cash’s one and only drummer will join Chapa along with Ron Haney of the WS Holland Band on lead guitar and local Douglas County musician, Terry Grulke on bass guitar.
The show is sure to be a hit with Johnny Cash fans both young and old alike.
