He Wore Black, a Johnny Cash Tribute

August 23 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm MDT

We are ONE month away from the He Wore Black, a Johnny Cash Tribute performance in Parker, CO at the Parker Arts PACE Theatre!

🎟 Don’t miss your chance, ticket sales are ramping very quickly just as they did last year at this time. 🎟

Three weeks before the show we sold over 200 tickets!!! Seating is now becoming limited as more and more people are taking advantage of the special pricing for our veterans, active duty military and first responders (www.heworeblack.com/tickets).

EVERY TICKET SOLD BENEFITS Colorado Wounded Vet Run a local 501(c)3 supporting our local heroes who have been wounded in combat.

FEATURING LEGENDARY MUSICIANS:

WS “Fluke” HollandJohnny Cash‘s one and only drummer

️ Stan Perkins, son of rockabilly legend, Carl Perkins will be leading the band during the opening set. Stan toured with his dad for many, many years. Close your eyes and you will swear you are listening to Carl Perkins play that guitar and sing those melodies!

Mark Alan Cash, son of Tommy Cash and nephew to Johnny Cash will share that familiar Cash baritone for his set during the show and even join us on a couple of Highwaymen songs

The Wildwood Roses, just returning from Nashville where they performed at Johnny Cash’s former farm and the little stage at the Storytellers Hideaway Farm and Museum. These wonderful women are keeping the true sound of the Carter Sisters alive. The best Carter Sisters Tribute Band in the country out of Folsom, CA. You will not leave disappointed!

Eric May Music, singer, songwriter, recording artist, and touring musician just coming off tour with Thomas Gabriel, Johnny Cash’s oldest grandson, Eric brings his smooth vocals, outlaw country style and professional presence to the stage to help us round out our full production!

And let’s not forget the man who plays that red hot backwards Fender Strat (okay, he’s a lefty),  Mr. Ron Haney with the WS Holland Band. He is one of best!

The rest of the He Wore Black Band, including  Terry Grulke on bass and the multi-talented  Adam Keane Stern on Lead, and maybe a little steel guitar, who knows.

And of course,  David Chapa, the visionary and driving force behind this tribute show.

Folks, the PACE Theatre will be filled with the sounds of 1954 when Carl Perkins and the boys first recorded with Sam Phillips, and 1956 when Johnny Cash laid down his first record, Hey Porter and Cry Cry Cry…you’ll be transported back in time when you hear the lovely, angelic harmonies of The Wildwood Roses.

Don’t miss your chance, this doesn’t happen every day!
